Just a quick note to say that we went, and we conquered. We went to Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, OH, and we conquered our fears. Well...Tarah did at least. I really must say that I did not actually have any fear to overcome, but I WAS totally jazzed after completing one of the greatest rides I've ever been on. Tarah is not normally afraid of roller coasters, but this one was a little different. Zero to sixty....weak. No, this one was 0 to 120 mph in about 2 seconds flat. The take-off sends you down the length of the track, at the end of which, once you have achieved full speed, it turns straight toward the sky. Your momentum sends you up the 420 foot climb. By the time you reach the top, your momentum has slowed just enough for your vision to clear up --- just in time to top the arch and gain a good view of the ground straight below that you are now freefalling straight towards. You do a 270 degree spin as you come down, and end up facing back towards the direction from which you came. Thank goodness for magnetic braking systems that work. Here's the website for it if you want to check it out:

This baby flat out FLEW! This ride simulates drag racing (the professional kind, not the boys down on main street), and as you sit in the cart waiting for the countdown light to go from red to yellow to green, you take heed of the warning signs that tell you to please rest your head and back firmly against the back of the seat to avoid whiplash into another dimension. When the light begins to countdown, you never even see it go to green, because by then, your lips are already firmly and forcefully wrapped around your face. I honestly can say that I have NEVER been undressed by a rollercoaster until now. As the ride came to an end, my polo shirt was blown up and around my head. Then, as I pulled my shirt down to check on Tarah, I saw that her shirt collar was 1/2 way down her arm and her bra strap was hanging out. Anyways, a great ride. Waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for a 20 second ride...but probably the most worthwhile thing we did. AWESOME!

That is awesome! I would ride it in a heartbeat. I LOVE roller coasters
Would this be one I'd like? Did you say it goes backwards at all? Did anyone throw up? That could ruin an otherwise awesome ride. I do love roller coasters but recently have found that going backwards and spinning have an adverse effect (maybe that's a positive effect) on my upchuck reflex. Remember Florida!
we want more posts on your blog!!!!! come on guys -- you are slacking!!
