Our new little girl

Well, yesterday, Savannah turned 1 year old. And we made through the weekend thanks to help from family who helped prepare for the party with us (namely my mom and Tarah's mom). It was great to have everyone in for the weekend. We loved having all the family come and see our new home and play with Savannah. Surprisingly, Savannah LOVED having so many people passing her around and playing with her, even though she may not have remembered half of them from this summer. She surprises us continually at how well she handles new situations, and how she never cries much or gets too upset. She definitely just goes with the flow.
Anyways, I came home from work yesterday to Tarah's story of how, "it's like we have a new little toddler now." She went on to tell me how she has changed in the past day. Within about a ten minute time span, Tarah learned what it was like to have a highly mobile toddler running around going from one mess to the next. She first dumped a bunch of stuff on the floor, and before Tarah could pick it all up, she had crawled around to the coffee table and tipped over a 1/2 full glass of Dr. Pepper. So then, before Tarah could get that cleaned up, Savannah had made it into the bathroom and pulled out everything from underneath the sink and began tossing the Q-tips like they were confetti in a ticker tape parade. AND THEN, while cleaning that up, Tarah realized that Savannah had made it into her bedroom and started pulling all her clothes off the hangers and shelf and onto the ground. Yippeee. What fun she must have been having. Savannah is really loving the whole throw-it-on-the-floor stage! I hope to get around to posting the pictures and maybe a video clip from Savannah's birthday weekend soon.
