Stuff on my dog

I have a coworker who found a somewhat funny site the other day. Its called stuffonmydog.com, I think. What it entails is a bunch of pictures that people submit where they have stacked various things on top of their dog while it was laying down. If you have a dog, you might know how this comes about, because sometimes dogs will just decide to lay down and be lazy, and they seem to zone out, like they're totally uninterested in anything going on around them. Well, Abby had her moment the other night, and Savannah seized the opportunity!

What a wonderful wife!

I just love the smirk on her face when she realized the picture that I was capturing. My wife.....in the kitchen, pregnant, cooking and...well, not barefoot, but close. ha. But I guess it didn't bother her too much, cause she was still in a good enough mood to dance!

Hello?

This survey has been up for a whole week now, and we've only received 1 comment?! Thank you, Cheryl, for giving us your thought on it. So, is she the only reader that we have?

Barn Door Survey

With all the rain this past week, we were excited today to actually be able to get outside and work on the barn. It's coming along pretty good and now we've reached a one of our first critical decisions....which door do we want on the front of the barn? I got two different ones (the two cheapest!) and asked Tarah to help me decide. And what do ya know...we disagreed. Not too bad, though, because we both are okay with either one--we just had our own preference. So, we thought it would be fun to see what you all think. Now you'll have to kind of use your imagination. Remember there will be trim around the door and windows, with possibly window boxes as well.

First, we have Tarah's selection--the standard 6 panel door. We're going to be painting the sides of the barn, and if we use this door, we would just paint it as well (colors for both are yet to be determined---see future blogs).
Second, we have my selection--the slab door. This one could possibly take a sweet mahogony stain (since that's the stain that we already have left over from other projects) and show off the little bit of wood grain in the door. I think it would look good with the barn being painted.

Just a quick click...

Just click on this link: http://www.thebreastcancersite.com
Then click on the button that says "Click here to give"
All it does is count the number of times people click on it, and the sponsors who advertise on that page donate money for free mammograms for women who ordinarily would not get one. Tarah forwarded this to me and I just thought it good to put a quick blog up for people to click on it. I am actually feeling kind of burndened about the tragedy breast cancer can be right now, because I have a 28 year patient who is going through this right now, and it may have already spread. Just not a great thing to go through. Anyways, there it is for you to click on.
