Savannah just wanted to give a shout out from the Landes crib.

Under construction....still!

Well, this barn that I'm building is definitely taking long enough. I think I started it back around Thanksgiving, or the week after. So far I have done pretty much all of it on my own, which makes for slow work. Except, I must give credit to my father-in-law who came the first weekend and helped me dig out a place for and make the floor. Then there's the weather delays...it seems like for the past month, everytime I was able to go out to work on the barn, it would start raining. Now my problem is not enough hands. I'm at the point where I need some help in order to put the large OSB up onto the rafters and also to run the long wall boards through the table saw and nail them up. Here's some pictures of the progress so far.

Big shoes to fill!

I dare to say that it'll probably be impossible for this little girl to ever fill my shoes. Literally, that is. But I'm sure that, figuratively, she'll have no problems doing it. She loves getting into and playing with anything that belongs to momma and daddy.

The Christmas Story...

Not the real one, but the movie. I had a flash back last night to the first time that I saw Ralphie's little brother come waddling out of the house behind him, all bundled up like he was having Christmas on Mount Everest. What a great scene...with him trying to keep up with Ralphie and then falling over and not being able to get up. I'm sure you all remember. Well, we re-enacted it here last night when we tried on the snow suit that we got for Savannah at a garage sale. Here it is:
